Everything you are feeling about your life is part of being human. We all have complex lives and face struggles. Sometimes the struggles are too much to deal with alone and we need extra support.
As a counselor I am here to be that support, ease your struggle and shed light on your strengths as an individual. There is no judgement or pressure to be a certain way in counseling only the invitation to participate in making positive changes for yourself and in your relationships with other people.
I moved to the Seattle area a few years ago with my family. Prior to living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, I lived in Chicago, IL and worked in community mental health and later added a part time private practice. Some of the approaches I have used with clients are cognitive behavioral techniques, relational therapy, narrative techniques, bibliotherapy, and art therapy. In addition to being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am a Registered Art Therapist. The process of creating art and then talking about artwork provides opportunities for people to transform their own lives from within. Specifically, Art Therapy allows a person to reduce destructive patterns and move towards balance and productivity in all areas of their lives.
Thank you for reading and I commend you for exploring our website. It takes courage to reach out for something different and you have taken a step towards change.
