When life doesn’t seem to be turning out how we imagined; it can lead to feelings of sadness, anger, confusion, despair, and more. Developing enough trust to allow someone else into your inner world is an important step towards addressing these feelings. I want to connect with you and will work very hard at gaining your trust so that you can feel safe and secure in taking this journey of discovery. I will offer a non-judgmental environment and meet you “wherever you are” in your process of change. Together, we will develop strategies that will help you reach your goals and I will walk side by side with you every step of the way.
We will develop tools to manage your current stressors and I will provide a welcoming space to explore any experiences that have been difficult for you. Everyone goes through troubling times, but understanding how you react to uncomfortable thoughts and feelings can reduce the power they hold over you. I believe my role in this process is to help you get to know yourself better and through that process create a better relationship with yourself so you can feel empowered in taking steps towards your chosen goals.
I want to help you surface and celebrate who you truly are and then to live more congruently with that person. Understanding how past experiences influence present patterns of thinking and behaving can help you create a future that aligns with who you intrinsically are. There is no expectation to be anything but you; for yourself and for others. And in being “You,” learn to celebrate!
