“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination” –Carl Rogers.
My desire is to create a safe place for children, adolescents, and young adults to express their feelings and to find some direction in working through the challenges of life. Many young people are brought to therapy by the concerned adults in their lives and may be resistant to engage in the process. My work focuses on creating a trusting relationship with my client and helping them feel empowered to set their own goals for wellness and success.
My philosophy is a holistic one that draws from person centered approaches utilizing solution focused strategies and motivational interviewing to discover client strengths and use them as a catalyst for change. I have over 20 years of experience supporting children and adolescents in the school setting.
